Home Remedies For Constipation Relieve Naturally- Causes & Symptoms

Constipation is a condition which is defined as when a person has three or fewer bowel movements a week or has bowel movements with stools that are hard, dry, and small, making them painful or difficult to pass. It happens most often due to changes in diet or your lifestyle, or due to inadequate intake of fiber. People may have pain in their abdomen or they feel bloated. Most of the people experience constipation at some stage of their lives, it can be acute, which means sudden and lasting a short time, or chronic, which means lasting a long time, even years. Most constipation is acute and not dangerous. Understanding the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment can help you to find relief.

Causes of Constipation.

There are many causes of constipation- pregnancy, health condition, your lifestyle and many more. When stool spends too much time in the colon. The colon absorbs too much water from the stool, making it dry and hard. Hard and dry stool is more difficult for the muscles of the rectum to push out from the body. Common factors or disorders that lead to constipation are as below:


• Diets low in fiber
• Lack of physical activity
• Medications
• Life changes or daily routine changes
• Ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
• Neurological and metabolic disorders
• GI tract problems
• Functional GI disorders

Symptoms of Constipation.

  • Fewer than three bowel movements a week.
  • Stools are hard/orlumpy, dry.
  • Stools are difficult to pass.
  • You feel bloated several time during the day.

It can be considered chronic if you’ve experienced two or more symtoms from above list in last two to three months.

Home Remedies For Constipation.

So Here I am sharing you one of the home remedies for constipation which will help you to get treated.

Spinach Apple Juice

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw spinach
  • 1/3 cup prune juice
  • ½ cucumber
  • ½ apple with skin

  • Method:

  • Wash and chop ingredients individually and blend into a mixer with little water
  • Top it off with honey for taste

  • Note:
  • Do not strain the juice, also you can blend each ingredient separately.
  • Have it as mid meal or first thing in the morning.
  • There are also plenty of other home remedies for constipation that you can try:

  • Have plenty of water during a day.
  • Exercise regularly or you can do yoga poses for constipation.
  • Eat fiber rich foods such as prunes, apples or spinach.
